Oxtail & Cabbage
INGREDIENTS:
• 10 - 15 pcs oxtail
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 head of Cabbage
• 1-2 tbls Salt
• 1/8 cup Vinegar
• 4-6 tbls Soyo sauce
• 5 cups water
PREPARATiON
The only prep needed for this is chopping garlic and quartering cabbage or to desired size.
This dish is pretty much a add all ingredients and let boil till meat is soft. The measurements can be used as a general guideline. Please adjust to your own taste. Add water, garlic, salt, vinegar, soyo sauce, and oxtails in pot. Set to high and boil for 4 hrs. or until meat is tender. Adding water if needed. Also, taste juice after the 2nd hour and adjust soyo and/or salt if needed. It is best to keep water level covering the oxtail. Skim and remove any scum that may build up while boiling. When meat pulls from the bone easily, lower heat to medium and add quartered cabbage. Stir once just to separate cabbage leaves. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until cabbage becomes desired doneness.
